FA Chairman Greg Clarke visits our Club

Huge honor for the Club

Byfleet Village FC has been recognised for its work in the community and on behalf of the Football Association in driving the great game forward.
Byfleet Village FC, run by Chairman Paul Robinson, who has been with the Club for 7 years has seen the Club go from strength to strength. The club now has 20 teams, and has recently launched its Girls footballprogramme as well as a Mini Kickers programme.

The visit from Greg Clarke on Saturday, 9th March really highlights the dedication and hard work that has gone into the club from its committee, of volunteers and parent coaches.
The club now has 20 teams in the Surrey Youth League and Surrey Premier League and have also taken the game to wider audiences through their Girls football programme, as well as mini kickers training for 3&4 year olds and under 5’s & 6’s teams.

The clubs dedication to getting as many people as possible playing the great game is what drove the visit and support from the FA. This dedication is highlighted through the recently formed girls’ teams and bringing through younger players to enjoy the game, and enjoy a new sport which has been at the heart of the clubs 2018/19 season.

Byfleet Villlage Football club also focusses on continuous development and offering expert coaching to its players, and the clubs partnership with external trainers Ultimate Coaching in testament to this.
The decision to form a partnership with Ultimate Coaching means the club can offer the highest level of training to its younger teams prior to parent coaches taking over as team coaches and managers, the parents also gain additional support from Ultimate Coaching to ensure they have the best level of coaching skills for the clubs players.

Paul Robinson, Chairman commented on the visit ‘It is a great honour for the club to receive a visit from Greg Clarke and really highlights the hard work that all the volunteers bring to the club, from committee members to parent coaches. We are dedicated to offering a great football experience for all our club players and bringing new players boys & girls into the game.

The visit from Greg Clarke will be a highlight for the Clubs season and will lift the spirits of all its players and volunteers as we continue in our mission to grow the club.
