With a first year of competitive football to come, Byfleet Village Spitfires U12 started off in indifferent form but ended up finishing second in the seeding of the group and being placed in the eight team SPL Premier League for the next round of round-robin of games.

With Covid hitting the availability of players across all the teams in the group it was another disjointed start where no club was able to get a decent run of games or results together. This left the league incredibly tight up to Christmas with games being so stop start.

After a three-week break for the team and off the back of a sound beating from the hands of a major rival team, a switch seemed to flick for the Byfleet Village Spitfires U12. This 'switch' saw the team go an undefeated run of seven games where the team conceded only 7 goals and scored an epic 30 goals!

With this, something changed and belief flooded back into the team where despite often going a goal down, they knew sticking together and playing as a team would bring a positive result... and it did...
